Corene Werhane is a freelance artist living in San Antonio, TX.
I have done freelance work for Alderac Entertainment Group (L5R), Master Zen Dao Meow (MZDM Roleplay Forum), and numerous personal commissions. While employed by SRO Associates I did work for Sea World (San Antonio), Six Flags Over Texas, King's Dominion, Canada's Wonderland, Hershey Theme Park, and Celebrate America (a seasonal show in Branson, MO).
I recieved a B.A in Studio Art with a minor in Art History from Trinity University in San Antonio. The studio program there was focused mostly on modern art, so my interest in genre illustration was pretty sorely tested by most of the professors. Luckily, not all of the studio artists were so narrow minded and the history side of the program was very supportive. I spent 4 years working on productions in the campus theater, first as a costumer then as an electrician.
After I graduated I joined SRO Associates as a scenic painter where I learned how to paint large fabric drops from Dawn Baker and Cole Lewis. Both are amazing artists who work in the absolute opposite ways.
